Vito DeFrisco, Principal
I am Vito DeFrisco, and I am the Principal of St. Hubert Catholic School.  I have a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Dominican University and a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University.

I am a current active member of the Principal Association, Council 1B Committee Chairman, and Nsukka, Nigeria Education Planning Team Delegate with the Archdiocese of Chicago.  I am also a member of the ASCD, Illinois Principals Association, Archdiocesan Principals Association, National Catholic Educational Association and an adjunct faculty member for Dominican University.  

With over 20 years of experience, I believe that teaching in the 21st century requires educators to facilitate learning by providing information in a variety of ways that sparks interest in every student.  Setting high standards, modeling life-long learning, and student-teacher relationships are three important factors in promoting student success.

Marcia Larson, Assistant Principal
My name is Marcia Larson, and I am the Assistant Principal.  I earned my Master of Science in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University, my Master of Arts in Education - Reading from Northeastern Illinois University, and my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I have over 25 years of educational experience.  

I am a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, the National Catholic Educational Association, and the ASCD.  I am included in Who’s Who Among American Teachers 2005 - 2006, named a Golden Apple Award Nominee in 2003 and an Archdiocese of Chicago Heart of the School Award Nominee in 2001 and 2003.  I am also a certified Archdiocesan Catechist.                        

The best interest of all children occurs when parents, educators, and administrators work toward a coordinated educational process that passes on the essential values of our human society.

  Reverend Robert C. Rizzo, Pastor of St. Hubert Parish
My name is Father Rizzo, and I am the pastor of St. Hubert Parish.  I grew up on the West side of Chicago and attended Our Lady of Sorrows and St. Anthony (Cicero) elementary schools and St. Mel High School.  In 1966, I entered seminary college in Niles and earned my undergraduate degree in sociology from Loyola University.  I continued my theological studies at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, IL, where I received my Masters in Divinity for ministry.  I was ordained a priest on May 8, 1974, and started my priesthood at St. Peter Canisius until 1979.  

After St. Peter Canisius, my journey has taken me to St. Barbara in Bridgeport (1979-1980), St. Edward (1980-1987), St. Lambert (1987-1988), St. William (1988-1997), St. Paul of the Cross (1997-2004), and St. Hubert (2005-Present).
