  Mary Jo Schneider, 1st Grade Teacher
My name is Mary Jo Schneider, and I am the 1st Grade teacher.  I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in May, 1990, from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota.  I have 26 years of teaching experience.  

I am a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honors Society in Education and the International Reading Association.  

I believe education is a life-long journey.  A child’s journey through education is guided by parents and teachers who help them find success and reach their full potential.
Ida Capone, 2nd Grade Teacher
My name is Ida Capone, and I am currently a 2nd grade teacher at St. Hubert Catholic School.  I have a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership: School Leadership as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education K-9 and Special Education K-12 from Northeastern Illinois University.  I am a Certified Catechist in the Archdiocese of Chicago.  

I have 4 years of Special Education experience in the Waukegan Public Schools as well as 16 years of experience as a 2nd grade teacher with St. Hubert Catholic School.  

My professional awards include the Catechetical Ministries Recognition Award St. Hubert Parish Recipient (2000), the Golden Apple Teacher Award Nominee (2002), the Archdiocese of Chicago Heart of School Award nominee (2009 and 2013). I am also a member of the ASCD.  

As an educator, it is my belief that all people can learn and should be life-long learners.  We learn from books, from our daily experiences, and from one another.  If we are open to God and to all He has in store for us, we grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.  With God, All Things Are Possible!


  Stephanie Wizniak, 2nd Grade Teacher
My name is Stephanie Wizniak.  I am a 2nd Grade teacher.  I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology of Human Development from National Louis University.  I hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and an ESL Endorsement from Concordia University.  I have eight years of teaching experience.  

I believe that each child is a unique individual that learns in their own way.  I strive to differentiate my instruction based on each child’s needs and abilities, helping them to reach their fullest potential.  It is my goal for students to develop a life-long love of learning and create a challenging and exciting school experience.

  Janet Gamauf, 3rd Grade Teacher
My name is Janet Gamauf, and I am a 3rd grade teacher for the St. Hubert Catholic School Community with 30+ years of teaching experience.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Lewis University with a Certificate for K-9.  My professional achievements include a Golden Apple Award Nominee and membership with the International Reading Association and Lambda Chi Academic Sorority.  

I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.  It is my desire as an educator to help each student meet his / her fullest potential in these areas.

  Julie LeBeau, 3rd Grade Teacher
My name is Julie LeBeau, and I am a third grade elementary teacher.  I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (K-12) from St. Norbert College (Green Bay, WI).  I have 19 years of teaching experience.  I am a member of the National Catholic Educational Association and International Reading Association.  

My philosophy is to be child centered and one who sets high expectations and differentiates to meet the needs of all learners.
