Band is a wonderful opportunity for elementary school children. Band teaches children to work in a team like manner while helping them to establish good study habits. It helps to sharpen small motor skills, improve concentration, increase eye-hand coordination, improve hearing skills, and gives the children a better appreciation of music.
The band has participated in many band contests over the years and has consistently received a first-place superior rating. Our band student body consists of 4th graders in the Junior Band, 5th and 6th graders in the Intermediate Band and 6th, 7th and 8th graders in the Senior Band. The St. Hubert Catholic School Band is recognized as one of the best elementary school bands in the Chicagoland area.
