Our Intermediate Program focuses on the development of literacy and math skills. Our mathematics program builds on fluency in fact foundations, skills, and concepts with the development of higher-level thinking. In our literacy block, students transition from learning to read to reading to learn. Comprehension strategy instruction assists students to become purposeful, active readers who strive to gain a deeper knowledge of content. Our writing program develops skills in the genres of narrative, persuasive, and informative writing across all areas of the curriculum.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
Students in Intermediate Grades may participate in the band program. Training as an altar server begins in fifth grade. Participation on school sports teams begins in the fifth grade with instructional emphasis and progresses to inter-league competition. These are exciting years filled with many opportunities.
